You might want to try etudes such as Burgmuller's 25 Progressive Pieces, Op. 100. IMSLP (free) | Amazon. The BachScholar channel on YouTube has a playlist of all 25 pieces so you can see if you like them.

Czerny, Op. 100 is great for practical exercises in a musical context.

Burgmuller, Op. 100 is another similarly good option.

Scales, Chord, Arpeggios, and Cadences are also super important and I think definitely rise above Hanon in terms of importance.

I also think everyone should start working on very simple sightreading ASAP. It's one of the skills that takes the most time and consistency to get any good at and you can't cram it. While you might be able to buckle down hard and learn a new piece or scale in a short amount of focused time, sightreading is just going to take years of actually working on it and if you let it languish until you need it, it you'll be in for a world of hurt. Here's my recommended starting place for that.
