I have never tried an Asian lip balms/masks because I haven't heard anything that has made me go, "OMG, I needz that!". But There are a few products I swear by. I get really bad chapped lips in the winter time, to the point carmex, chapstick, and nivea won't even work. I use the following:

  1. Booda Butter Lip Balm. Oh my goodness, this stuff is amazing. I will purchase this until the day I die. It is the best thing ever. It does, however, have coconut oil, which might not be friendly to some skin types.

  2. CO Bigelow's Rose Salve. This is something I have used for years. I love this stuff. It works wonders. The only reason I found out about my Booda Butter, is because I lost my tin of this and I was freaking out. There was no Bath & Body Works in the area, so I went to the co-op and bought the Booda Butter. Rose salve is like Vaseline with rose oil.

  3. Good ol' Vaseline or coconut oil. The only bad thing about coconut oil is that, I personally, lick it all off. :S

Also, if you have it available, L-Lysine is a supplement for treatment of cold sores, but my mom swears by this stuff when she has extremely chapped lips. I haven't tried it, but I thought it might be worth a mention.
