My SO got these for his fancy earphones. They work really well. And the foam seems to be denser and thicker than the foam use for regular earplugs. They also come ready to use, all you need to know is the size of your earphones.

They fit on any set of ear buds and greatly improve the noise reduction, comfort and sound quality. I couldn't believe how good my shitty 20$ ear buds sounded after putting these on.
You may want to look at Comply Tips, they are the same format as the silicone ones (that they press fit onto the stalk of the earbuds) only they are made of a memory foam instead. To use them, you compress them before you put them into your ear, and they expand to hold in place. As an additional benefit, they are much better at noise cancellation due to the expansion.
