Any reason for to get this case over the Cooler Master 120? I always see the node being mentioned, but not the CM as much. Want to build during the Christmas time so narrowing down what I want xD

You don't what size / shape you are looking for, but I wasn't looking for a traditional component sized case (since my case is hidden in a narrow cabinet), and have been very happy with this one:

It looks like the Silver model is no longer available, but the black and white ones are (they weren't an option when I got mine).

In particular I like the fact that this case will take a full size graphics card, a full size PSU, and two regular HDD's along with a couple of SSDs.

While it's not for an HTPC, I also have a Home Server in this case:

It's a much smaller case, but might work.

Also, keep in mind that this is a mini-ITX board, and if you had the inclination, you could drop this machine into a much smaller case if you wanted to. Just FYI.

Otherwise, there are mATX boards out there that are basically the same price.

What price range are we talking about?

I really like the 650ti for an HTPC. It's small and reasonably priced with decent performance.

Processor doesn't need to be too much, I don't delve much into AMD but I like the Intel i3 3220.

Someone can probably recommend a better motherboard than me but this board has an integrated sound card. It should handle up to 7.1 surround sound.

I assume you're going with a micro ATX case? I prefer some of the more square shaped cases but I know some people like them flat. Here's a flatter micro ATX case. Be warned, reviews state some issues with fitting in certain hardware. I would roll with something like this though.

RAM, drives and power supply are pretty standard. Most RAM should fit but if you're worried about it Corsair sells some lovely low profile RAM. You won't need much power for this build. I imagine a 350-400W power supply would be more than enough.

Make sure to get a Blu-Ray player that INCLUDES software unless you intend to buy the software yourself.

If you plan on upgrading for Steam big picture mode consider this case with a graphics card down the road.
