If you buy the parts individually, it costs $500. Not really a deal. Individual prices/links below

Yeah, it's a combination of things. First, RAM is insane right now. Second, this is the best looking RGB LED RAM on the market (my personal opinion). I personally am an LED whore, and genuinely considered getting this before I went with the Corsair Vengeance for $50 cheaper. I'm one of those people where having a great rig will make me happy, but having it look sexy would make me even happier. So I spent the extra cash on stupid stuff like RGB RAM and the HUE+.

this the same kit?

You can find brand new 3000mhz kits for around 80-100$

RGB vengeance PRO 3200 CL16 100$

Im looking at pretty much the exact same build. I was just about to get this kit to go with the 2600x. At £117 I feel like its a pretty good deal.

Yes yes yes, but you're missing a few things. Please purchase the following items (they're all links):

  1. RGB PSU
  2. RGB RAM
  3. RGB CPU

I bought some rgb Corsair ram, and it was actually the same price as an non rgb model(LPX) with same specs. Sub $100

Now that i look at the prize on amazon, I consider myself lucky. The same model is now priced $211.

u/HMSCarrington · 1 pointr/buildapcsalesuk

Yep, I actually got mine off Amazon, not sure why I linked Newegg.

Amazon prices.

This is actually cheaper than the LPX non-RGB version.

Well this is where I'm actually kind of unsure.

What I am looking to purchase is this: 2x16 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro

What I already have is this: 2x8 Corsair Vengeance RGB, which has been discontinued.

So if anything I would think that there are minimal compatibility issues, but I'm concerned with being able to set both pairs to the same clock speed in my BIOS without jumping through hoops.

u/ICanLiftACarUp · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Amazon has the RGB variant for $159.97

I bought a pair last night at microcenter with price matching.

Thank you for the feedback it's helped quite a bit. I found the QVL list for the intended motherboard and extra information along with it, I believe to have narrowed down my search to 2 RAM and would like your opinion on which one I should get:

Corsair CMR16GX4M2C3000C15 Vengeance RGB 16GB 2 x 8GB DDR4 3000MHz C15

G.SKILL F4-3200C16D-16GTZR Trident Z RGB Series 16 GB 8 GB x 2 DDR4 3200 MHz

I don't know if I'm looking into this too much but I appreciate the help you have given me :D

u/akingcool · 1 pointr/buildapc

so either of these will be okay?

also do you have any proof with regards to the samsung b-die issue not being an issue anymore as all the research i have done only shows people complaining about the issue and the digital foundary video was fairly recently uploaded too

u/recneps100 · 1 pointr/buildapc

thank you, much appreciated! 😁 i guess i could have worded that better because thats basically what i was wondering. i wasnt sure if the RGB vengeance series was as good as the LPX ram with the same specs (as far as reliability and all that goes)
