Haha ' That's what I thought'. Brilliant.

Well I never said a functioning LP60 won't play your 'vinyls' did I? I said peoples concerns are legit which they are. I have no idea where you live so that is completely irrelevant to my point. If you think it's elitist to say a turntable isn't good then you are devoid of any logic. The only people that call this place elitist are people that want cheap easy solutions but get all butthurt because they don't get the answer they want. Boo hoo. I don't care about that video, I know the LP60 can adjust the speed. The build quality is still poor.

See you've come to this thread talking about being a stickler for quality, well the LP60 is nowhere near quality. You've got a small budget and can't buy used. Is that our problem? You're the one contradicting yourself, stickler for quality but won't listen to dozens of customer testimonies? Alight buddy.

Vinyl records are not cheap, you want to do things on the cheap. Do you not see the issue here? If I was you i'd probably save a bit more and go something like this:

Look around, there is a fully auto Pioneer that maybe you should read up on for $120. You aren't getting quality at this price point though, which of course you are a stickler for.

I just got a Crosley C200a off Amazon for $190ish and, compared to the shitty Jensen ($40) I had, it's amazing. Crosley's suitcase players have a horrible reputation but I read every review I could find on the C200 and it was all positive and overall, for the price, it's a really good pick. No 78rpm setting and not automatic functions are the downsides, but I don't have 78's and I also enjoy dropping the needle. I'll probably upgrade the cartridge soon though. Good luck!

Edit: Here where I got it. And here is a review for it on turntablepros.com

Its pretty nice. Seems to be the OEM of the lp120 without the 78 rpm. I got mine for $80 last August. I think it was a pricing error on Amazon. Only issue I have is that the plastic lid (dust cover?) scratches insanely easily.

Is the Crosley C200A a good idea to get, it seems to be the best one in my price range but I'm a little worried with it being Crosley. If it is a good idea would I need a receiver as well? I'm still a little confused with all that.

I'm trying to keep it cheap for right now. Maybe I should go with the audio technica for a beginner turntable. I noticed the the needle moves automatically with button presses but can I still move it manually?

Also I don't see an headphone out on these but what do you think for $100? https://www.amazon.com/Edifier-R1280T-Powered-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B016P9HJIA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1536357373&sr=8-6&keywords=active+speakers

i'd like to keep a whole set right now in the 200 range til I learn more

edit: Look into the post for good turntables to buy and might dish out an extra $100 for this crosley https://www.amazon.com/Crosley-C200A-BK-Direct-Turntable-S-Shaped/dp/B01AT3G2OU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp&qid=1480944646&amp&sr=8-2&amp&keywords=crosley+c100

are either of these any good? 1 2

also I can't really find a difference between the two...how much of a step up from the first one would the second one be?

Hey everyone, beginner here. I'm looking for some entry level equipment and was wondering what you guys think of this:

I saw in the recommended turntable list the Crosley C100A and the Crosley C200A and i'm thinking of pairing one of them with the Edifier R1280DB powered bookshelf speakers and i'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these?

I have a small space and i like the optical input so i can also use them with my TV, they seem to have great reviews, i'm just wondering what you guys think for someone looking for an all-in-one solution on a budget (budget hasn't been determined yet but i'm thinking less than $500)

Thanks everyone!
