This is the lowest price these sticks have been since prices skyrocketed a couple years ago.

These DIMMs are *very* low profile, lower than the bracket you clip them into. They need less voltage than regular RAM as well, 1.35V instead of 1.5V. I've been using these in my own rig since I built it, and I couldn't be happier with them.

Edit: Also, note that Amazon sometimes charges sales tax depending on where you live, even if shipping is free.

u/MongolianTrojanHorse · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

Are you talking about this one?

They are both 1.35V and 1600Mhz, but the Sport VLP stick is CL9 (9-9-9-24) while the Tactical LP is CL8 (8-8-8-24) which may be worth the additional cost to some people.

u/DaNiqqa · 3 pointsr/buildapc

why are you going with 1333 ram? I don't think going hardcore cookie cutter on the ram is a good idea. This should be good.

u/Hotsushi · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I believe so long as the timing to the ram sticks are the same then you're good. However, I may be wrong, I've never ran into a situation where I needed to mix and match ram sticks before.

There is also this low profile ram that went on sale awhile back. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A14ZTWE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

just thought I'd give you more options.

u/Artisanpasta · 2 pointsr/buildapc

That RAM is stupidly expensive, get this
Get the cx430w PSU, and the dualx 270x for £119. I would also just get a 1tb HDD.

u/ILookLikeJohnStamos · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

not quite to sure, I tend to use sites that handle it - if they don't I'll avoid them.
I hate paying for that charge at the door because if the Canadian border processes the duty I feel they charge an exuberant amount.

I do this mainly for clothing but I found low profile ram on amazon

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A14ZTWE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

which after the exchange I'm putting down $165. Checking out TG ncix, newegg, and if I even find low profile ram it tends to go for around $90 a stick.

u/Fiddling_Jesus · 1 pointr/buildapc

So if I get a DDR3 With the same specs as my current ram then I’ll be good to go?

u/Jon1renicus · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Holy cow how did I miss this when I just had to order a new CPU/Mobo because mine crapped out on me.

Hello, Goodbye~

I could definitely use some new ram: http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-Profile-DDR3-1600-BLS8G3D1609ES2LX0/dp/B00A14ZTWE/ref=reg_hu-rd_add_1_dp

Or a nice new, not dusty case to put my new mobo in:

the case especially so, my previous one is so dusty and I didn't want to recycle it LOL.

and this motherboard?

Some parts may be sold out, but they are NOT proprietary. You are just a moron.

Sorry lad, but nothing in your PC is rare or proprietary. Anyone can build these parts. For the motherboard, you can just get a newer, smaller, and better model.

Take your lousy scam elsewhere chickennuts.

u/ke5pay · 1 pointr/buildapc

The front fan sits right over my motherboards RAM slots and to get the case door to shut without bowing I had to lower the fans as far as I could. I tried to use a set very similar to this but it did not fit.

u/YellowCBR · 1 pointr/buildapc

My mistake, since your motherboard only has 2 slots, you should get a single 8GB in case you ever need to upgrade.

At the time I paid around $800, I play all my games on full max settings at 1920x1090 resolution. OS, mouse, keyboard not included in cost. Also, PPP did not find a price for the video card which is why it's price is ~$200 lower than what I paid last year.
u/poorlychosenpraise · 1 pointr/buildapc

No worries. I'm trying to figure out the same thing. Should be fine with stock cooler, but not positive about aftermarket.
It's cheaper, and I don't think going 2x4gb to 1x8gb should be too noticeable in day to day use. Would love someone else to weigh in on both fit and performance though.

Edit:2x4gb for $12 more. I don't feel like it should be worth it though, but at least it's the same price as the Corsair for same specs, but low profile/less voltage.

This wraps up to £666
I found these items pretty quickly and didn't bother price checking across different sites, I used HotUKDeals for some of them so these should be pretty decent.

3.2GHz 6MB processor, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Blu-ray and CD reader and writer, 8GB RAM, GTX 750 Ti. You can probably upgrade that processor whilst staying under 700 but that's a perfectly reasonable processor. The memory is the same stick I have and it's perfectly fine (shot up in price though).

This build DOES NOT take in to account price for an OS or a screen. You didn't specify if you wanted them.

EDIT:
also, all of the sites I have listed are trustworthy sites and I have used all 3 of them in the past. If you want to compare prices two other sites I know are trustworthy are OverclockersUK and CCLonline.
