I only got into this a little while ago, so hopefully someone will come along with more detailed input, but I'll try to help.

  1. Ryzen gives you great bang for your buck, especially the 5 series. A lot of the BIOS stuff has been worked out I think. RAM speed definitely matters with Ryzen, so try to get the fastest you possibly can (your board supports up to 3200)
  2. If your case supports ATX, I'd go that direction. Easier to build on, and more SATA connections, PCIe slots, etc generally.
  3. Can't help with a WiFi PCIe card, but I use this and it's great. Great signal and super fast.

    Hope that helps!

The D-Link DWA-192 is your best bet if you're connecting it to a desktop. It's a 3 antenna AC 1900 WiFi adapter that connects via USB 3.

For something in a laptop, or on a lower budget, go for the Edimax EW-7822UAC. It has a foldout antenna, connects via USB 3.0, and is AC1200.
