Don't stress too much. There are probably other things to focus on, like giving the walls a fresh coat of paint as needed, decluttering your house, etc ....but, if you want to pursue it a bit more:

  1. Is the floor rippled at all?
  2. Does the water line from the fridge pass under the floor here?
  3. Can you go into the basement, and look up at the underside of the floor or is your basement have a finished ceiling here?
  4. If you want to purse the gaps in your trim, since it's painted white, it's easy to fix. Get yourself some white painters putty.
