This is a very late Christmas present for my mom from Amazon (my late granddad, her father, loved cardinals).

Since this wouldn't be framed, and the backs of my patterns aren't overly neat, I wanted to line it with fabric. I bought some holiday cloth from Joann's and attached it using a pillow stitch (which I discovered on r/oddlysatisfying). It was my first time sewing anything, but I think it turned out pretty good!

Edit: Here's the link to the /oddlysatisfying video. It's actually called a mattress stitch (but I found instructions under "pillow stitch" too on google).
