I assume it's meant to respond to the temperature in the room. Seems like you are trying to combine magnetic levitation and magnetic stirring. You could take an existing floating toy like this one and experiment with adding a small magnet in the center. If you can rotate the floating object by rotating the extra magnet, then you could mount the extra magnet on a small motor and use a temperature sensor to regulate the motor speed. Or if the motorized magnet interferes with the levitation effect, perhaps mount it on an arm above the floating object.
