Are they experienced sailors? Because if not, they'll need to be running skills checks to properly pilot the boat, especially in poor conditions or when navigating treacherous waters (rocks etc.)
Maybe consider checking out Boats and Shite. I've not personally read it but I understand there are some ship rules in there - so maybe take a look at reviews on YT first.
