Hey! dont lose hope, you can manage your symptoms! I remember feeling as blue as you, and I've had eczema over my entire body, but with some hard work and research, I have all my eczema under control, and I spend the majority of my life with ZERO eczema. It's possible, you just need to figure out what works for you.

You are clearly an intelligent and capable person if you became an engineer, managing your eczema is gonna be no sweat! You just need to be pointed in the right direction. I HIGHLY recommend you read this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eczema-Free-Life-Adnan-M-D-Nasir/dp/006072224X It seriously changed my life. The problem with GPs is that eczema is not a fatal illness and they literally spend maybe a day on it in medical school. Try getting a referral to a Dermatologist, they will be able to prescribe you more effective steroids and help you more.
