I agree, but there's a bit too much "the Jews!" in this line of argument.

Yeah, some of them are Jews and Zionism (which is not Judaism per se) has a lot to do with it. But Bush, Cheney, Rove, et al. are not Jews. It's not about Jews.

It's about protecting the present from the future. It's about establishing feudalism-- a system designed to protect the present from the future-- in order to protect entrenched power from grassroots class mobility.

Jews who aren't rich and/or well connected will fare no better than anyone else who isn't rich and/or well connected.

It really just comes down to human nature. When humans become super-powerful, they have an instinct to cling to that power and to push down those below them. The super-wealthy will then form loose cabals-- "old boy networks"-- and will rig the game in their favor.

At some point, the elite start to believe that laws, ethics, etc. do not apply to them. At this point they become what some call "elite deviants." I think we're well past this point.

I consider conspiracy concepts like "the Illuminati," etc. to be awkward folk euphamisms for what are really loose but cooperating cabals of elite deviants.
