I got this one that doesn't seem to be available anymore, but there are others that are pretty much the same. It's worked fine for me, but as long as it seems reliable, the bells and whistles aren't necessary. I am into it being backlit, though. Our bedroom is hella dark and there's no way I'd be able to see the temp to input without it.

Forgot to mention this is the thermometer that people seem to recommend. I had it, it's good, works well, but its very basic. I got this one and prefer it. It has a light and a memory function and doesn't beep loud at all.
