The historical accuracy of the bible is extremely low. There is ample evidence that it has been the subject of cutting, copying, translating, translating, retranslating, interpreting, some forging and liberally inserting opinions across dozens of authors during many hundreds of years on dozens of texts and variations of those texts, only a selection of which made it into the final document. Wikipedia's intro on the subject says this: Historian Tudor Parfitt has declared that "the Lost Tribes are indeed nothing but a myth". DNA evidence shows that if these tribes ever existed they died and did not leave any children to pass on their genes.
