This is what I do to help with that.

I have a binder clip, a 3" spiral notebook, and in the spiral notebook, a pen.

This varies, but I used to get paid on the first and the 15th of each month. So, I opened the notebook, wrote the month and the year at the top of the page, and as best as possible, wrote all my bills down, the amount they cost that month, and the date they're due.

I looked at their average costs, then figured out a balance between all of them. So, since rent is due at the beginning of the month, I might be able to fit a bill or two in there, while mid-month, I don't have rent, so most go there.

I then called each of the companies and asked them to move my due dates to the 3rd and the 18th, to give me a few days padding in case I forget the date. None of them objected. (I didn't ask my landlord since it's due on the 1st and I had a few days before late fees kicked in.)

From then on, if a bill came in, I would add it do the paper clip until the 1st or the 15th, when I got paid, and I would sit down, fill out my bills, and put a check mark to them once I knew I had paid them online or I had put the payment envelope in the mailbox.

This lets me only deal with finances twice a month and lets me see how much they're eating into my paycheck each time. It also means I'm only facing the bad stuff those couple of times. It cut down my anxiety so I didn't have all these little financial bombs going off at me at random times of the month. I cut down some of it too for regular expenses by setting autopay on a rewards credit card, and then just focusing on it as a normal bill.

I'm a little bad about those sorts of deals too. Like, I'm current whittling down some credit card debt with 0% balance transfers, and I put off writing the check out for them a lot. But with my approach, it lets me look at all my stuff at once and get a clearer picture of whether I need to act now, if I can put it off another month, or if it even matters. (e.g. I keep getting a 0% if paid by 2020! offer. If my current 0% balance is due by 2019, it doesn't matter if I complete the form in August or November, as long as it's done, so why not extend the deadline now and get it over with?)
