Your budget is generous not "cheap" so with the goal of $1000 plex server here is what I would do...

EDIT: THIS WON'T TRANSCODE 4k... however thats ok because 4K transcoded are washed out... use high bitrate 1080P looks just as good if sitting 4' or further away.. if you want 4k for the HDR then use a player that can play 4k hdr(almost any tv does now.. i have a $600 65" TV that does it just fine)

I switched to micro atx first for this case for my build. Node 804 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K6OVG0I/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_iVYVDbVWNY5SE I've got 10 drives in there with an air cooled ryzen 1700x and a 1080 for transcoding and the airflow is great. Worth a look if you are looking to upgrade your case.

The three main form-factors are ATX, Micro-ATX (m-ATX), and Mini-ITX (mITX or ITX).

You can get ITX cases that are the size of a shoe box (kinda like the one you picked), m-ATX cases are usually a couple inches bigger in each direction. They are still plenty small, but you can worry less about cable management, and have more room for your hands to work in. The only reason, aside from size, to go for ITX is that many of the ITX board have built in WIFI. m-ATX cases and motherboards tend to be $20-$30 cheaper than ITX.

BTW: I've taught several people to build in person. Watch a couple of YouTube channels, read the manual that comes with the motherboard, the center of it usually has a diagram of all the plugs for the motherboard, and take your time.

I wonder if I can use all the parts in the guide, but with this case

I like the aesthethics

It really depends on what you want, and most of the time a lot of these things can be done with bay add ons or are already common.

> You know how you only need to touch the xbox one's power button to turn it on? and it gives sound feedback

Most PCs POST (the little beep you hear when you turn it on).

> or the blu ray drive that doesnt come out but you only need to slide the disk in

Slimdrives are farily common in SFF cases like this one (slot on the front side).

There are also cases that do stuff like regulate exhaust vents being open/closed automatically (Zalman H1).

And front bay devices that do everything from regulate fans, act as sound cards, or manage overclocks exist and are pretty easy to come by.

Yeah, too wide. I looked into this similar case but I need it to be thin. Will likely go with the 400C.
