This comes from his 1965 Blue Note album Complete Communion.
Noted free jazz expert Ekkehard Jost states that the record offers "an alternative both to athematic improvising and to monothematic pieces." This quote comes from Jost's incredible book Free Jazz.
I would also add that - from the title itself to the playful/funky themes - this seems to me to have a more obvious sense of humor than most of Ornette's stuff. This is obviously not meant as a value judgment, it's just a description.
Finally, I apologize for posting only part of the piece - this seems to be the only format in which it is available online. "Elephantasy" is a suite of connected pieces (the first of which is also called "Elephantasy") that made up the entire second side of "Complete Communion." Part 2 of the suite is available here.
