Reddit mentions of Fundamentals of Physics

Are you talking about freshman physics? I remember all those rumors of how E&M physics is so much tougher than the previous physics and how the failure rate is high, but after going through the class, all of the rumors turned out to be greatly exaggerated. I guess those rumors are present for the class regardless of the university you go to. Yes the material is tough, probably a little more difficult to understand than motion physics, but it is certainly doable if you just go to class and study hard.

As far as helping you prepare for the class, here is the textbook I used in my class:

It is the only resource I am really familiar with since it is what I used. Since it is doubtful that you would spring to buy a $200 textbook for summer studying, this website might be a good start for preparing for the concepts:

It is not as thorough as a textbook, but you don't need to be that thorough until you are trying to learn and study for the class/test.

At USMA, we used Halliday's [Fundamentals of Physics] (http://www.amazon.com/Fundamentals-Physics-David-Halliday/dp/0470044721/ref=sr_sp-btf_title_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1407370021&sr=8-16&keywords=physics+textbook) for our introductory physics courses.

I wonder if there is a data source to show definitively what the most popular texts are.
