The other deal was 3000Mhz for $155.99.

3000Mhz vs 3200Mhz

Whether you'll find this a good deal or not, this is a new historical low and there may be people interested. Also the same price on NewEgg.

My ram has gotten cheaper from when I got it in August, cost me €120 for 16GB C16 3200mHz RGB, which is now €93 on Amazon here (3 months).

And while yes RAM has gone up in the past few years, it's been dropping for a while (graph for my RAM)

And I've also been considering better ram since it's also better in terms of price/performance atm vs the ram I have (32GB C16 3600mHz RGB), which was insanely expensive when it launced a few months ago (when I built my pc) and right now is crazy cheap in comparison (€180 atm).

But I still wouldn't, as I can't justify paying that amount of cash for it since I don't even use my 16gb fully right now, the bits of Photoshop/After effects here and there really don't even push it.

So yeah waiting is always an option, because you will also think: "Do I REALLY need to though?"

u/Klinggaard · 3 pointsr/pcmasterrace

I would go for the G.Skill TridantZ ram since you have Aura on your board. You can find them
here

u/AndrewYang4President · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

Yes, especially with the release of Trident Z Neo, the price is bound to drop further.

For reference, this is the amazon price trend.

xfr2 and precision boost is AMD's boost (auto-overclock) technology for their 2600X and 2700X. You can leave it alone and it will do its own job.

Samsung B-die is considered the best memory kit you can get for both AMD and Intel cpus. All cpus love fast ram (especially Ryzen), so might as well spend the extra $50 if you're allocating $2000 for the rest of your build. A fellow redditor created that nifty tool to help identify b-die ram kits.

You can overclock ram in the future, b-die is already fast enough. That DRAM calculator tool helps you save time when you choose to overclock ram

Edit: Just checked ca.partpicker.com. Looks like b-die starts at $280 in canada. RGB b-die starts at $325 lol

Edit2: looks like there is a $265 backorder for this kit https://www.amazon.ca/gp/offer-listing/B01MTDEYHU/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Can someone please look at this tech support post I made? I just built my PC but my ram frequency won't budge from 2133mhz even when I turn DOCP - Standard on -- even though all of the settings are saved and accepted, the frequency still reads 2133mhz:

https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/6o9aif/

This is the ram I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTDEYHU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was told to stay clear of that company as they are based in Czech Republic and can have poor customer service/returns/replacement times.

Here is the same stick on Amazon for cheaper, but out of stock. I've ordered a pair form there

u/AP-The-Wise · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Bit over $200 but this is the RAM I use. They look nice if you like RGB. Software lets you customize the lighting it produces.

Awaiting for this ram to come back in stock, and this is a relatively good deal...

u/TimesNeverWasted · 1 pointr/Amd

Looking to optimize the ram with lowest timings and try and maybe hit 3400. Used the timings from the back of the package but they look high compared to other ram posts on this Reddit. Appreciate the help!

3000 MHz vs. 3200MHz is the RAM in question. So if I had 2 of each all that would happen is the 3200 would be slowed down to 3000 and thats all? Would it just be better to get the 3000 and avoid any issues that would have happened, and If I want the higher speeds, I would just OC them?

u/Morpheeus543 · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Amazon has it for 173.91 currently, in case you don't need the mouse.

Here.

It's those items that Amazon either damages slightly in the warehouse or get returned to them. Personally had very good luck with them, never got anything that was *really* that damaged.

If you care about warranty however, I would advise against it, since you're technically not buying new.

u/Flugegeheymen · 1 pointr/buildapc

I can't understand why trident z rgb ram is so cheap on german amazon. Even on uk amazon it has the same price, bot on pounds..

Not sure if you are into RGB.

u/detteor · 1 pointr/buildapc

Both of your memory module choices will work. The reason that the price is different is the lower CAS latency, which doesn't matter as much as the speed. I would recommend using this from amazon. It is about 100 dollars cheaper than the ones that you linked and is identical except for the latency.

u/DPawzzz · 1 pointr/buildapc

I didn't know that faster speeds helped Ryzen so much, thank you.
The only one I could find, that wasn't outrageously priced, was (G.SKILL at 3200 MHz) https://www.amazon.ca/G-SKILL-F4-3200C16D-16GTZR-Trident-288-Pin-DDR4-3200MHz/dp/B01MTDEYHU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1540762384&sr=8-1&keywords=F4-3200C14D-16GTZR
