Reddit mentions of Generation Dead (A Generation Dead Novel)

While admittedly I'm pretty over zombies as a pop culture touchstone, all I could think of was Generation Dead, which, interestingly, got published by Disney/Hyperion... depending how they handle it, it could be -- as the books were and are -- a really good way to get kids thinking about discrimination issues and a few other things that rarely get brought up in the mainstream zombie narrative, since the zombies aren't usually given much agency. Of course there's the chance they'll take it in a silly direction, but I am cautiously optimistic that it will be more akin to Generation Dead and the sequels than to TWD or even NotLD.

tl;dr: I read YA novels without shame and have too much time to think about the implications of pop culture
