A good aftershave or a new cologne is what you'll want to satisfy the
bosswife. I feel like the scents of the prep items are more for the user than anyone else. As middlesmith pointed out a lot of rinsing takes place during the shaving process. So a scent like Castle Forbes Lime, which is the smell equivalent of getting slapped with a key lime pie, gets rinsed off. GFT Coral Skin Food is stupid expensive but the rose smell (don't hate) is awesome, and while it's not going to last all day, it's strong enough to pass the "honey, just shaved, how do I smell?" test. But for a lasting scent, a proper cologne will be your best bet, Lacoste Essential has passed tests for me. But, obviously, YMMV.
