Reddit mentions of Globe Chromantic Cruiser Galaxy Complete Longboard Skateboard 9.7 x 33-Inch

I was wondering if there are going to be any good black friday sales for longboards? My brother wants one for christmas. He said he likes this one. He's just going to use it at college to get around campus. I don't really know anything about longboarding so I was just wondering if this was a good board and if I should just go ahead and get it now or wait for black friday. If you guys have any other recommendations that would be awesome.

Now that I have two I will try to get friends to longboard with me and hopefully that means I use it more. I also got a pair of Sector 9 gloves like 2 years ago but I still never learned to do that slide stop because I barely practiced, I didn't like the Globe that much.
