What's your budget?
The standard 5e campaigns are like, whatever. Everybody has heard of them and it won't be a real surprise.
For the same price, you can pick up the Goodman Games Reincarnated Adventures. These are reprints and greatly expanded updates of classic 1e era modules, ready to run in 5e out of the box but are also huge and beautiful for what they are, and great as historical documents as well as being something out of the ordinary.

The 3rd one just came out so it maybe isn't in stock for Amazon proper yet, but y'know.
IMO this would be a hella cool gift that would be out of the ordinary while also being exactly what you want.
