I live in a studio apartment (that is what a one room apartment is called right?) and use one of these for my airbrushing. There is an extractor hose if you have to spray laquers and other solvent based stuff. Works pretty well for my needs and packs away quick and easy.
Even though you have shaky hands (depending on how shaky of course) using the airbrush to cover larger areas is preferrable to using a brush (and less time consuming) or a rattlecan. I -think- you can use the spraybooth I linked above with rattlecans. I haven't tried since I'm a bit weary of my cats inhaling all sorts of nasty solvents and dust, so I stick to acrylics :)
