I bought this Weight Guru scale from Amazon. So far it's pretty nice. Looks good, feels sturdy. And it has an app that can read an image from the scale (through your camera) that can keep track of your weigh-ins.

I also use the Weight Guru's scale.

You can even set it up so it tells you how many lbs' you lost instead of your actual weight.

You can read about various methods used to determine body fat.

My opinion, for a person whos goal is to try and lose weight and track their progress, as opposed to a person who is a doctor or medical researcher or practitioner and needs accurate readings, is that the simplest no hassle method is the best.

As a person trying to lose weight, it doesn't matter if any 1 single reading is accurate to within 0.1% or not, or whether the readings fluctuate based on your current state of hydration, rather, what truly matters, is the average trend over time .... ie the average rate at which you are losing body fat.

This leads me to recommend buying a scale like this one ( note thats a random inexpensive model i found with a search, not endorsing that specific units quality ) that makes it super easy to check ones weight, and body fat percentage, and log it to an app on ones cell phone or PC.

Good luck on your goals.

I have a tanita scale (these are generally very good quality) http://www.tanitaaustralia.com/product/um-051/ $99
Its been super accurate so far which is what I wanted after the one I had before that was not accurate at all (much cheaper) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GBFEMU2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 $40 <-- don't get that one.

If i had to get a new one, I'd get one that syncs with myfitnesspal or fitbit because I'm lazy :P

I also wouldn't trust any bathroom scale to give an accurate bodyweight % they generally aren't any good at that. You should get a bod pod or DEXA scan to estimate body fat.
