If the temp is above roughly 70F, I sweat like the proverbial whore in church. For me, on long runs, electrolytes are equally, and maybe more important than fluids. If I just drink water, I get pretty bonky after a couple of hours. Things that I use:

Ultima Lemonade flavor. Seems spendy, but the per-bottle cost is within a penny or two of G-rade, and it's not just salty Kool-Aid.

S! Caps I carry these in a small Salt Stick on my water belt. Dosage requires some experimentation, but for me, roughly one cap per hour works. Heavier sweat = maybe every 45 minutes.

I use hammer gels, but that's more a packaging preference than a product choice. IMO, if you're using a malto-meal (maltodextrin) gel, they're basically the same. I prefer Hammer because it's available in bulk packs which make filling a flask much easier than messing with individual packets.

For long runs (2+ hours) I also carry a broken-up granola bar. A nibble every half hour or so gives the stomach something to do.

After runs of more than an hour or so, I drink a protein shake. YMMV, but for me, recovery seems faster.

I have no financial interest in any product mentioned. (Or anything at all, really. But that's another story.)
