Please be sure to report back after about 250 rounds how well the TRS25 is holding up. Spring piston air rifles will beat most optics absolutely to death...people very use to firearms tend to be rather surprised that their inexpensive spring rifle destroys optics they'd been running on high caliber rifles. There's a pretty poor selection of red dots manufacturer rated to hold up to spring powered air rifles...it'll be good to have one more.
This, unfortunately, also applies to lower power scopes. This has been the only consistently suggested lower power scope. 4-power is the industry norm. Be sure to opt for an adjustable objective whenever you do buy into one. Personally I use a generic Tasco 3-9x50 from Wal-Mart...cost like $40...on my Benjamin Titan. It's help up for me for about 500 pellets, but it's not airgun rated so it might not hold up to a traditional spring rifle.
Try removing the scope and dialing in the iron sights - see if it's more accurate that way. If it is, throw that scope away and get something better. I put this on my ladies Weihrauch HW30S and couldn't be happier with it.
