The FT-60r doesn't have built-in VOX. You'll either need to implement (build?) some VOX>PTT trigger, or stick with just PTT.
The link to the 'mic' you posted isn't a mic at all - it's an extension cable. Did you mean this?.
If you mean you'll use the extension cable with that 4-pin connector to connect to the radio... there's no promise that the pinout is compatible. I would take a guess and say it's not. And besides, the plug that's pictured is for Aviation headset use - it's called a U-174/U plug. Which immediately confirms that the pinout - and plug - is completely wrong for the FT-60.
Your best bet I'm thinking is to build a wiring harness for yourself. Let's see what others suggest.
