I considered myself agnostic for much of my life. The book My Descent Into Death: A Second Chance at Life was an eye opener for me.

From there I started reading Holy Bible: From the Ancient Eastern Text.

Using several translations together will give you a good understanding without learning Hebrew/Greek.

I wish you well on your journey!

Not exactly I have a copy of this bible translation given to me by the niece of the man who did the translation, they are immigrants from a part of what they still call Persia, now Iran. They are of course Christians, not Muslim.

The camel quote is my favorite. I have a very large and heavy version of the Bible that was translated by a man who speaks Aramaic as a first language (past down from his family). He states that the Aramaic scripts for "camel" and "rope" are so similar that he believes that the word "camel" was mistaken from it, and that the word "rope" was the intended word.

Lamsa Bible is translated straight to English from Aramaic. I’d get that one if you want something accurate and easy to understand.
