I switched to an OEM profile keycap set for my Glow. That means they aren’t all flat and the same height, but I found the home key bumps to be super useful.

If you decide to get these particular keycaps there are a couple of thing to know. These aren't made specifically for razer product. I bought 2 sets because there are 2 keys that don't fit and will need to be swapped out for different ones. Also the cylindrical supports are a little wide on SOME of the keys and will to be either cut thinner or sanded thinner, mostly the longer keys.

yes, most keycaps, including the ones you linked, fit all MX-style switches, which the ducky one 2 mini has. however, if you are looking for pudding keycaps (the ones with the transparent sides) i would recommend these HyperX pudding keycaps instead. they are better quality, made by a better company and also compatible with all MX-style switches.

I got the Anne pro from amazon, but it’s constantly in and out of stock based on what switches you want (currently all black keyboards are out but white ones are in). I want to replace keycaps on my Kono Kira keyboard because I want the light to actually shine through the letter. I tried swapping them with keycaps from my Max Keyboards Nighthawk only to realize half way through the Shift key as well as the 0 on the numpad aren't the same size.

So, is there a keycap set that will work for me? I like the pudding keycaps but it appears I will suffer from the same problem.

Don't get ducky. It's over priced because pro fortnite players use it. I recommend the ap2 because it's like 90 bucks on Amazon and it has great RGB, nice software, high quality build, and comes in kailh switches which, IMO are cheaper, better Cherry's. Ap2 is real nice. If you want to delve deeper into the neverending abyss of mechanical keebs then go on to kbdfans fans(after doing some switch research) and get a tada 68. They come in like 50 different switches.

HyperX doesn't make white pudding keycaps, they make black pudding keycaps and translucent white shine through keycaps but not white keycaps with translucent sides.

Thanks :) This is actually the board I have at work right now. I have several custom keyboards I switch between to keep things interesting lol.

These keycaps don't let any light shine through so the RGB isn't super noticeable in the daylight. If you used keycaps with shine through legends, or pudding caps, the RGB lighting would be much more noticeable.

So I'm looking to get a nicer mechanical keyboard. Currently I have one Velocifire Cheapo wireless that cost me $30 and has what I believe are Outemu browns. I also have an Alienware aw568 (Kailh brown).

I'm looking at buying something modular so I can replace keys when I feel like a change and am seriously considering getting the GMMK TKL. The switch options just on the GMMK website were confusing enough but when I started looking for answers, I found out there are a million other switches I can use on the board lol.

From what I have, I like the tactile feel of the outemu, the kailh just seem a little mushy but it feels like th ekailh's are a lot more consistent compared to the outemu's. Could someone recommend me a switch similar to the kailh brown that has slightly more tactile feel? In addition, as a beginner are the $20 keycaps from amazon good for the price? I'm overwhelmed with my choices right now and would appreciate any help!

EDIT: Also, what is the QMK firmware and do I really need it? The GMMK doesnt seem to be compatible but the massdrop ctrl seems to be.

unfortunately not :// the tracking still shows them as just leaving the country of origin although it can be super slow to update I guess. And no, I won't be using them on an M800 (using anne pro 2) however they'll almost definitely be compatible with any steelseries keyboard in terms of fit and backlighting etc. I know hyper x cloud also have pudding style keycaps if you wanted to go with a more well known and "reputable" brand (as opposed to some dodgy aliexpress seller).

the fact that the modifier keys on the right aren't standard size so any keycap set I buy doesn't have ones to fit really bothers me. I resized the alt, fn, and shift keys to 1.25u so they are the same size as caps that come with a 104 key OEM kit like the kingston hyperx pudding caps on amazon

i would recommend these, they make the lighting so much better.

Also, how would I bind the other keys that I'm missing, for example with the Fn key like on Anne Pros and Ducky's, all the keys have secondary actions. How would I be able to do that so I still "have" the other keys sincet this isnt a TKL chipset?
