I have an i3 that is lga 1155 but not a mobo. I can ship it starting next week. I have used it and am in the process of upgrading parts just cause I now can afford to. It is 4 months old and has been kept cool and in a case with good airflow. Here is the link where I got it new so you can check out the specs. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004JEVGMO/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You are absolutely right about the HDD, thanks a lot.
I should've mentioned that I took these parts from tonymacx86 thinking that I might want to dual boot OS X later and they are supposed to be compatible with it but that is not really important.
Memory is cheap but I'll look for a cheaper model for 8 GB (I run virtual machines so I need all the RAM I can get)
For the CPU I compared i3-2100 with i3-2105 on Amazon and thought it would be better to get the latter since there is only a $10 difference. Since I live in Turkey deals like $99.99 i3-2100 doesn't make much difference to me. And that way I get to postpone the purchase of a video card since 2105 comes with a HD 3000 GPU which is more than enough for my needs at the moment. Thoughs on that?
I also can't find that PSU here. Any other recommendations?
Looks like they sell that case for about $90 before the taxes here but it looks really good so I'll definitely consider it. Do you think I can get by with the 500W PSU it comes with for a while?
Again, thanks for your help.
Motherboard features PCI 3.0, USB 3.0, gigabit ethernet, and two extra RAM slots for potentially upgrading RAM to 16GB or so in the future.
Edit:
I forgot a DVD drive. Those are like $24.
You could save $22 by dropping down to this Asrock motherboard. The only major difference is that it doesn't have PCI 3.0.
You could also save like $19 by dropping down to 4GB of RAM with this PNY kit.
First question: are you going to keep up with Intel or do you have any desire to switch to AMD as far as processors go? I'm an intel man myself, but it affects the choice.

Socket 1155 mid i3
I also swear by Asus boards. Never had one die on me yet.

Those will put you right around the 300 dollar mark. If however you want to go down into the 200s, let's hop back down to a lower processor in the i3 line:
Socket 1156 i3 lower-end processor
And then grab this motherboard (thinner form-factor too):
Socket 1156 Asus board
And these will set you back only about 220-230 (I have Amazon prime so I don't see any shipping costs, but I imagine they aren't too steep).

Final note: I won't suggest a processor for this board because I would definitely put in one that costs 200+ dollars, but the Sabertooth is really a thing of beauty and it's made with some lovely ceramics that are guaranteed to last a lot longer than most traditional components:
