In my opinion your asking price is too high.

My reason is the i3-8100 is currently under £100 at Amazon and is both newer and performs almost identically to the i5-7500, and comes with a stock cooler.

It's not a very good time to be buying GPU's, the prices are still going down and there are new nvidia's on the horizon, but since you asked...

• i3 Processor. $120 I'm a big fan of the g4400 for linux builds, but being able to run windows is required for some coins/cards right now.

• Your favorite PSU. I like the Corsair HXi series. $180. You can use 3 PSU's with the mobo, so expanding is possible, but not optimal obviously.

It only works with 8th gen processors (currently) btw, not 9th gen. You can still get an 8th gen i3 cpu for pretty good money.

its a shitty deal, youre getting a six generations old cpu, with ddr3 ram and a questionable hdd in there. just save like 30 extra pounds or check what u/agentt30 suggested, perhaps that builds section is updated and can offer you someting nicer than what i slapped together lazily. or if you cant save but like this then i saw 1050's that went for 109 pounds, which would get you down to 401 pounds. still no case but im not even gonna look into that because i dont know or care what kind of case you want.

This is the best i can do it a bit over budget, because Intel is so overpriced here in Europe you can actually get ryzen 5 2600+mobo for same amount as i3 8100+mobo.

Realistically, I'd recommend upgrading to a Coffee Lake platform. A Core i3-8100 ($148), MSI Z370-A Pro ($150), and 8GB DDR4-2400 ($100) will only cost you $398 + Taxes and outperform an i7-870, plus give you room to upgrade to a Core i7-8700K down the road.

No point buying the 7320 honestly.

The i5 8500 has slower single core speed than the i3 8350k, honestly the i5 isn't really worth it if you don't rely on multithreading quite heavily and then only if you get the i5 9600K which is a good bit more expensive.

Your benchmarks are a bit outdated and don't include the latest CPUs, I personally like userbenchmark.com, usually reliable figures and easy to compare stuff.
