Naa, the scams are real but they did not buy from Amazon. They bought from a seller on amazon. Those two are not the same thing. Look how many sellers are there for just the 8700K. The first one is Amazon but everything below them are independent sellers.

You can buy it in Amazon for $414 plus tax... the only catch is that you have to wait later this month.

> Your CPU and motherboard are 2 generations behind, and nobody wants to buy a 7000 series chip unless absolutely dirt cheap, not when the 8000 and 9000 series exist with 2 more physical cores for almost the same price. Change that to an 8700k for best value.
So, would this CPU work fine?

>Asus makes strix motherboards with built in 802.11ac adapters. If you need wifi, just get one of those. Even has a fully repositionable antenna. I have one, works great.

And this motherboard?
Both Amazon and Walmart are currently selling them new for $313.05. Have to pay tax on them though.

That's pretty good ST performance. The i7-8700k at around 4.7GHz has a CB score of 1447 (MT), 208 (ST).
So a slight dip in single-threaded performance for individual cores but a massive gain in multi-core performance.
I believe they are supposed to be in the same price range so it's definitely a good value in comparison to Intel.
The Russian price is 23,050 Russian Ruble which is approximately $396.46 US Dollar at current exchange rates. Russia automatically includes 18% sales tax on the price. So $396.46 / 1.18 gives us $335.98 without any taxes.
For my area sales tax would be 9.5% so I would have to pay $367.90.
Comparatively an i7-8700k is $349.99 on average. Though Amazon right now has dipped in the past 2 hours to $329.00. I'll just estimate based on both. $383.24 and $360.26 respectively.

I think even the US market is being hit. Look at the price trend on Amazon in the past week: https://camelcamelcamel.com/Intel-i7-8700K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/product/B07598VZR8?context=search
So it's either a case of switching to 9900/9700, production, or Intel is shifting product mix to server CPUs to fulfill increased CPU demand (someone else stated this point). If the former, then we'll have to see the market share over the next couple of months. If the latter, then that means Intel's statement about "hitting annual revenue projections" basically means they've given up market share given that the market demand for overall CPUs is above their initial estimates.
Personally, given Intel's 10nm production problems, I have no idea how they are going to be able to fab a server chip at that prices and have enough yield to supply the market demand at reasonable prices. If Zen 2 successfully delivers its 15% IPC increase and power savings, I actually think the 20% market share figure quoted by Intel is going to be what they themselves are left with.

Out of stock, I have found one on Amazon for £375 although I'm not sure how safe it is tbh. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07598VZR8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DH3ZZ3ENG10J&psc=1
Someone in S.korea asked Intel official and They said that only 100 retail boxes of Coffelake was released at S.Korea and We'll get enough supplies By 2017 December or 2018 January.
Due to unavailability in S.Korea, 8700K's price is skyrocketing toward 430~600 USD. What's making worse is that retailer in S.Korea is selling them only by expensive combo bundle.
I think, at this point, It's tough to get one in S.Korea. If you can use freight forwarder in Japan, You should try Amazon japan pre-order at below link(You have to use freight forwarder because they don't ship directly to S.Korea).
https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B07598VZR8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Not really, an 8700K goes for sub-£300 now. I bought mine for £370 so it's already dropped around £80-100 since launch. I could easily see them moving 6C/12T to £250 to occupy the i5 K-series slot and the 8C/16T would launch for around £380.
I have a couple things to say. Are you comfortable with overclocking? If so, i'd get one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-8700K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B07598VZR8/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=8700k&qid=1556664196&s=gateway&sr=8-1&th=1
Also, one of the biggest features with the Z390 mobo is overclocking. If possible, step it down a bit on the motherboard (if you don't like overclocking).
I can find it just fine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07598VZR8/ref=twister_B07CN3RVTF?th=1
These coupons are literally not worth it UNLESS you can't be asked to wait for online shipping or you are purchasing way above the coupon minimum.
Lets take a look at their Ryzen Line.
https://www.frys.com/product/9522092?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG 200$ for the 2600. With the promo coupon 160$
However online
https://smile.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Stealth-Cooler/dp/B07B41WS48?_encoding=UTF8&%2AVersion%2A=1&%2Aentries%2A=0&ie=UTF8&pldnNewCustomer=1&ref_=smi_ge_cnf_cnf_smi
The same cpu is 164$.
But here in lies the issue. Now the cpu is 160$ NOT 199. Therefore you have to buy something else in order to get the coupon.
Lets take a different item.
https://www.frys.com/product/9339760?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG the i7-8700k is 370$. With the Promo its 296$. Which is amazing! Only problem its out of stock pretty much everywhere
https://smile.amazon.com/Intel-i7-8700K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B07598VZR8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1550638139&sr=8-4&keywords=i7+9700k
online its $360. So you are getting a massive discount, provided you are well above the minimum purchase for the most part.
TLDR: Coupon is only really vauable for items with a high coupon margin or if you cant be asked for shipping on low coupon margin
I wouldn't say so.
Looking at the 8700K in Europe, neither Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Alternate or Mindfactory have it in stock. The US is similar, out of stock on Amazon.com & Newegg and most won't ship until 1-2 weeks.

You can purchase an i7 8700K on Amazon for £319.98 and I'm pretty sure the one this week or last
sold for £210is on sale for £230 (u/CyclonicCS) as well as one sold for the same price 21 days ago so maybe save yourself £80+ if purchasing second-hand.Dunno if this is any good to you at Under £700. Wouldn't know where to start with a Z370 mobo but there's plenty within your price range. ☺️
P.S. I realise the i7 8700K must be de-lidded but is it not cheaper to DiY?

When trying to decide on what power your PC needs a good website to use is http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/ - it'll give you a general idea since I get confused with all the "i7/i5/i3 XXXX gen X" nonsense too.
That'll build you a tower. Then you just need external components. Monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, chair, desk, etc. Depending on what you have available and stuff it can vary so I'll let you price out that stuff.
$1,358 pre-taxes if you go with i7 8700k, and GTX 1060 3 GB. For the tower. Taxes in, plus all the other components you're still looking at pushing close to $2000. That's CND I think. If you do a little shopping around you might get a decent deal on a few items and look into different price points between AMD and Intel if you choose their Board/Chip/GPU combos.

Hey guys, I'm in the market to build a new computer, and I saw the one that I want that appears to be £380 everywhere, is £303 if sold through Amazon but it's currently out of stock. If I purchase, will it a) stay the price when it is in stock, and b) be legitimately that product. Granted it's fulfilled by Amazon, but it's quite a low price that it seems beyond just trying to be competitive.

But I’m not sure if I should or not, could I get your opinion?
It depends, where do you live? In amazon Germany for example it's available from multiple marketplace sellers but you have to pay an extra 20-30% due to the high demand and low availability. If you want to pay a fair price you'll have to wait until after christmas/new year.
An alternative could be to get an X299 cpu/mobo.
I just bought the used one free shipping and no tax with a estimated delivery of November 14th. Wish me luck boys
It’s been out for weeks, though there’ve been stock issues: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07598VZR8/
Odd. I made sure I wasn't logged in. Ok, things in the cart.
This means I need the LGA 1151 or z390 chipset?
Also needs a place to plug in an AIO cooler?
Not too worried about compatibility for RAM
Or storage, but in this config it would need 6 sata connectors correct?
My apologies, i meant to say noticeable difference, and as for the pricing the 8700k is £330 while the 2700 (which if it follows the leaked benchmarks and the 1700/1700x will OC higher the the X sku)will only be £216 which is a difference of £115. which isn't the 150 i stated before, but i didn't realise 8700ks had actually come down to MSRP.

These are all my selected parts
Is now a good time to build a PC? My current CPU + RAM + MoBo are on the verge of death/highly obsolete, and today I looked at this i7 8700k on amazon and it seems incredibly cheap. My original plan was to wait til Christmas, since even if I bought the processor now I wouldn't be able to buy the Mobo + Memory til later anyways (I plan to reuse my 750W PSU and Graphics card, since the activities I plan for a PC don't really need a good GPU).
Should I wait til Christmas and then buy the i7 + mobo + ram + case at once or purchase this now and sit on it until I can afford the other parts? Is it likely the prices on this will be lower around Christmas/just after?

Thanks for your help!
What about the i7-8700k? would that work in the build? Like this
you need a 1080ti at least to get stream quality ark
I have a devil's canyon so processing power I'm not lacking anything much, but it will be better if you can get a 8700/8700k that should be better.
with that unless your mobo allows you're gonna buy a new one. I recommend those long lasting ones that doesn't necessarily say "GAMING". I'm not going to upgrade my pc anytime soon so the recommendation for this could be a little off
get 16gb of ram at least. the more the merrier.

To answer your question about the leather arm rest, it is probably the most comfortable thing I’ve experienced for gaming. Never thought I needed one until I had one. It’s the only reason I still use a razer, otherwise I’d switch to a Corsair.

If you want a constant 144fps to match your 144hz monitor. I recommend going with a
RTX 2070 (Gpu)
i7 8700k (Cpu)
Be quiet dark rock 4 (Cpu cooler)
Gigabyte z390 Gaming X (Motherboard)
At this point it’s penny pinching. Things like storage and the case. But since you didn’t mention a budget, im optimizing for gaming.
Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250g (m.2 NVME ssd)
Mushkin Source 500g Sata 3 (Reg SSD)
Seagate Barracuda 1tb (HDD)
NZXT H500 (Case)
The reason for 3 storage devices is that the HDD is for larger games. The m.2 ssd is for smaller games. Then the standard ssd is for Windows.
Links for everything are below.
RTX 2070 ($479.99)
i7 8700k ($363.18)
Gigabyte z390 Gaming X ($139.99)
Nvme M.2 SSD ($69.99)
SSD ($54.99)
HDD ($47.99)
Case ($69.99)
Cpu Cooler ($74.90)
All this totals out to: $1301.02 USD.
Obviously this is all from amazon. I’m an amazon boy. But you can search Newegg for these same products and see if they’re any cheaper, to save even more $.

Edit: Added Prices next to links, added link to Newegg.
Sorry to bother you, just have two questions.
So I'm looking at the different 2080 options, and there's $100ish difference between makers and models...do I care about this? Are the $699 and $739 Gigabtye brand ones fine?
Also, for like $50 more I can get a better i7, or for $100 more like the newest newest gen:
https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-8700-Desktop-Processor-Cores/dp/B07598VZR8/ref=pd_sbs_147_8?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07598HLB4&pd_rd_r=3c30f46a-735b-11e9-a617-ef95815d54ab&pd_rd_w=VnFVL&pd_rd_wg=6timF&pf_rd_p=588939de-d3f8-42f1-a3d8-d556eae5797d&pf_rd_r=NAXEDY30WKD5R44NQG1G&refRID=NAXEDY30WKD5R44NQG1G&th=1
Is the $200 upcharge for the better i7 and the ASUS 2080 worth it? Brings my total including tax for everything but the monitor to like $1700.
I'm probably going to just get a new CPU, motherboard and RAM because it seems like a better idea in the long run than to just limit myself to what my current board can utilize and my RAM could definitely be better anyways, so meh why not. Thanks again though, I appreciate it. :)

I run the Z370H with the i7-8700K 4.7 Ghz - There are also options that include up to 5 Ghz
I suggest going with the Coffee Lake. I did, and it was well worth it.
Sure.
My build is:
Graphics Card: Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K
FAN: Noctua NH-D15S
Power: EVGA 750 BQ, 80+ Bronce 750W
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO M.2
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS GAMING 7-OP
It's a great build but it's still a prebuilt. You can build an equivalent one, with superior parts, for pretty much the same price.
8700k: $339.99 at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-8700K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B07598VZR8
1080Ti: I'd actually get a 2080 instead, there's a Newegg/Ebay combo deal that's all over this subreddit, $650 flat, no tax outside of CA
Mobo: There's a billion of these, look for anything "z370", pick one given your budget. Keep in mind lower end ones will limit your ability to overclock the 8700k. I'd aim for around $150, wouldn't go less than $100.
RAM: Plenty of deals around the subreddit as well, you're looking at about ~$120-130 for 16 gigs of DDR4. Look for 3000-3200, c16 is probably fine.
Case should run you ~$60-80, PSU should run you another ~$80-100 (don't skimp too much on this).
SSD/HDD I'm assuming you already have? If not, tack on another $100 or so, the sky's your limit there.
Grand total of right around $1500, but in exchange for doing the grunt work yourself, you can get:
Ultimately it's up to you, this is a pretty fucking solid deal if you just want a computer to show up at your doorstep.
I ended up buying parts instead, but that's because I have a phenomenal case, PSU, and a bunch of SSDs that are still perfectly good. Ended up costing me ~$1500 as well, but I got a MUCH better mobo and an aftermarket CPU cooler to push the overclock a bit more on the 8700k.
You will need to upgrade both the motherboard ram and cpu all at the same time.

If your gaming you can do 1080p 60fps for years with this set up if all you do is upgrade gpus for the next 4 years you should be fine.

Now the 7700 and 8800 apparently have minimal differences. I would go with the cheaper one, but then again it's only an extra 20-30$ why not just go with the 8700k.
It's a terrible time to buy GFX cards right now since everyone in their mother is mining coins. I would go with this card though. I have a card like this and its perfect.

I’m not much of a Ryzen guy so I don’t know much about Ryzen.
"By name and by marketing (and original MSRP), the i5 CPU is most comparable to the R5 CPUs. The R5 2600’s current $160 price-point makes it a less direct comparison, and the 2600X, which would perform about where an overclocked 2600 performs, is about $220. This is also cheaper, but still closer to compare. Even closer is the R7 2700, which is $270 normally (or ~$250 during current sales). This is the closest comparison.
We would favor an i7-8700K if you must go Intel – like for systems with the highest refresh rate possible – while staying below the price of the i9-9900K. We would favor an R7 2700 in heavily-threaded applications or games which are more dependent upon threads than the mean (e.g. Far Cry 5). The 9600K is still often superior in raw framerate, but does suffer frametime consistency hits in games like Far Cry 5. In those instances, it would be a worse experience insofar as its consistency of frame delivery. In the other games we tested, the 9600K holds a lead in gaming performance. It also suffers in Blender, the side-effect of fewer cores, making the R7 a better choice for anyone legitimately using the heavy multithreading in tile-based rendering applications. If you’re just gaming, the 9600K is often better – but not always, and that inconsistency is the key to our inability to offer a firm recommendation. We’d favor an i7-8700K (if budget can stretch) for pure gaming workloads, but the i5-9600K and R7 2700 choice requires more nuance. For anyone working with Blender in addition to gaming, the R7 2700 is a better choice. For pure gaming, the 9600K is “better” in most the games we tested, but that frametime inconsistency in some games causes us to hesitate.
The i5 remains hard to justify, even with its two-core increase. Intel remains the best option for gaming-only builds in the i7 class, but struggles to prove consistent value in the i5 class. That’s a problem – if the value is inconsistent, it is sometimes better to opt for a more consistent (if sometimes weaker) alternative, if only because the experience is then predictable."

Thanks for the keyboard recommendation am looking into it.
The 8700k is tough to track down. Amazon has one for $690 but thats a bit steep. I see softwarecity.ca is getting 610 units in a couple days and just emailed them about potential preorder.
Completely out of the loop on m.2, reading now. I currently have Crucial 480GB and Samsung 1TB

Just below your budget brand new
By 8700k, do you mean this? My buddy recommended a Ryzen, but I'm not familiar with it. Do you know how it compares?
I'm looking at the 8700k. It apparently only eats 4 more W at base speed, and is still the same socket.
Do you reckon that would be a good investment long term?
Amazon is matching them!
The price is the same on Amazon right now.
