Most of them are books you wouldn't necessarily expect Elliot to have, and most of them are "ancient" (in computer tech terms). (The following is based on a slightly sharper publicity still of the same scene).

As others have said, a large XHTML thing, and a Cisco CCNA certification guide. Also "HTML & CGI Unleashed". That's not "PCI Compliance for Dummies", though - but "PCs for Dummies". No, really. Then there's what looks like "Microsoft XNA Unleashed" - or at least some book on XNA... The light blue one appears to be a Java book that I seem to recall having seen on a shelf in the 90's. The right-most book on the bottom may be "Hacking - the Art of Exploitation" - not sharp enough to tell, except it's looks like a large "Hacking" and then the relative length of four words after it just about match that title.

On the bottom shelf is also "Digital Disconnect", which is probably the only book that seems to fit with Elliot anno 2015. :-)

So yeah, it's mostly a set dresser being told to go to a thrift shop and buy some computer books. Or Elliot doing a cover-up.

ETA: Closer look on blu-ray upscaled to 4K - reveals more books that are somewhat more Elliot-2015-esque.

Top shelf (not on picture above):

  • The Extreme Covert Catalog
  • Weaving the Web
  • Microsoft Windows Embedded CE 4.0
  • ???
  • Digital State
  • Mastering Microsoft Lync Server 2013
  • Being Digital

    Middle shelf:

  • HTML & CGI Unleashed
  • XHTML
  • Hands-on SQL
  • Java book, might be this one, judging only from colors and spine typeface
  • PCs for Dummies
  • ???
  • Web Analytics
  • ???
  • Microsoft XNA Unleashed (although I can't see "Unleashed" on the spine, it looks like it).
  • ???
  • ???

    Bottom shelf:

  • ???
  • Programming for [... something lengthy 'communications' something] - probably this one
  • Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching cert. guide
  • Virtually [something]
  • ???
  • Digital Disconnect
  • OSX Mavericks
  • Hacking - the Art of Exploitation
