Unfortunately you provide very little information about your case. Why do you have very little ram, and how much exactly are we talking about?

Judging from the screenshot this is a pc and not a phone or tablet or raspberry pi. Now maybe this is a very old pc and you cannot find RAM for it. Or maybe you are a broke student who does not have a spare $43 to buy extra 4 Gb RAM

But if none of these is true then you are better of just buying RAM. It will save you ton of your time and effort.

u/Abdou_Laloui · 3 pointsr/pcgaming

Man. You're so tough. You're looking for premium hardware, not going with the used parts. But accepting the PS4 which is a console. And the other one is a whole PC that you can do a lot with, rather than a gaming, wha da heck!!

Okay here are the links: I changed the parts a little bit. Removed the "Used" ones...

CASE: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353108&cm_re=MicroATX-_-11-353-108-_-Product

ALL OF'EM = $329 (the graphics card has a mail-in-rebate $20)

Are we good? Haha!

It would've been much cheaper if you consider the "used" parts and going with the ex-generation parts (Mobo+Cpu). Heck, X1 and PS4's parts are kinda old, ya know.

Thanks, I switched it out with this. Better?

u/jayem1427 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

try for something like this it doesnt have to be this as it is extremely overkill but i believe it is on sale. modular/semi modular would benefit you as the case doesnt seem to have much space to store cables so if you have less cables to hide its good.

this will leave you 155. for a gpu, try this which will leave you with 50 bucks to pick up ram. get this if you can, call up PC Planet and ask for exact specs of the i3 and the copy of windows. ask if the windows is 64bit.

best of luck!

u/fjodsk · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

No keyboard atm. Besides that, I think I'm fine. My HDD is big enough (250GB) and my monitor is alright. I got 4GB ram, which is not great. Here's the RAM I have:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J8E92R6/ref=twister_B00JIUS500?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

4GB should be decent enough though. The keyboard is what I'm still working on getting, then some more RAM.

Thanks :)

u/Deadlycalculator · 1 pointr/gpumining

This is the exact one I have: https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-1600MHz-DDR3/dp/B00J8E92R6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1500048551&sr=8-4&keywords=4+gb+ram+ddr3

It looks like it sells new for $34 and used for $28.89. Mine is pretty much unused but I threw away the packaging. So I'll give it to you for $25 USD or $32 CDN.

u/NaheedMiah · 1 pointr/HardwareSwapUK

Hey, I've also been looking for RAM and I used this https://www.amazon.co.uk/HyperX-FURY-DDR3-Memory-Module/dp/B00J8E92R6/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1487431153&sr=8-11&keywords=hyperx+fury

I bought two of them using a website called flubit they give you a 10 or 15% discount on amazon stuff when you buy through their website.

Hope it helps :)

u/kaiju_wars · 1 pointr/buildapc

So I googled the model of the RAM stick you provided, it's just a 4GB stick of DDR3 RAM running at 1600MHz.

Just get another 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 stick and you'll be fine.

Hi everyone,

I'm a total beginner when it comes to mining and I want to build my own rig and start doing IT. After doing some research and reading, I decided that I want to start mining Monero as it's easier, quite profitable comparing to other coins and has a lot of room left to grow.

First of all, I want to build my own mining rig and these the gear that cought my eye at a first glance into the mining world:

This mining rig frame:

With this set up I calculated a $257 profit at a total of 5500 H/s, 700w consumption and $0.11/kwh and a 1% pool fee.

This seems a little less than I thought and read regarding the profit, am I missing something?

Is the potential hash rate bigger than 5500 h/s or the consumption lower? (I put this value based on what I read on other forums from people with the same video card)

Any advice is welcomed, please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you!

As long as it's the same speed and such as mine: I'd be interested. I guess my mobo has a bit of a blue-white theme to it.

I am planning to build my first pc as a Plex server on a budget. It seams to be CPU heavy So I went for a AMD FX-8320E that I got for $76 (7477 PassMarks or 3 HD streams). I also plan on putting a cheap graphics card in, so that 4k (only at 24hz) is playable. Below are the links that I am currently planing on buying for the rest of the computer, should there be any problems or suggestions I would appreciate the help.

EVGA 430 W1, 80+ WHITE 430W

Kingspec 2.5" SATAIII 64GB SSD $28

MSI Graphics Card R7 240 2GD5 $56

Kingston HyperX FURY 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 x2 42$

AMD FX-8320E 78$

I already have a 5 tb hardrive , so the total would be about $320

Total is 137.07 and will open a ton of options in gaming. Don't expect new games to push high/medium settings but low shouldn't be a problem at all. Aim for 900p if you decide on a monitor, but I don't think you'll get any performance if you go higher. Craigslist can be dirt cheap for this. If you push your budget then you can get a cheap headset, KB&M good pad pretty dang cheap.

As far as OS goes then you could research how to get windows 10 easily for free as Microsoft is still handing it out till june.
This PC will run laps around that laptop you have but if it's a laptop you need then I don't know your options other than look for something older and used.

This computer will run any game out from <2012 at medium/ low @900p. It will for sure run newer games but you are going to have to run at mostly all low settings. Emulators shouldn't be a problem at all with this rig either except for maybe Dolphin and PCSX2 but you could possibly even jimmy those with smooth frame rates.

Depression sucks and if you do go through with it, then message me and I can get him into a nice steam community with a constant team speak server running most times. GL HF!
