Here are 2 links to the SSD and RAM I was looking at getting, can you guys just confirm that it is compatible and that the price is fair.

Thanks!

I have two 4GB sticks. Does this mean I have to place back my original 4GB (2X2GB)sticks and just eat the ones I just bought?

Example of a search of compatible RAM sticks on Amazon

This 8GB kit seems to be a particularly good value: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0031GK3OI/
I'm not sure about the quality of that brand though.

Ok I found one stick that is 8GB but it is PC3 10666 while my currently installed ram is PC3 10600. If I kept one 4gb stick would it work with the 8GB stick or would there be an issue? I also found 2 4GB sticks for around the same price taht are PC3 10600, but I would rather buy the 8 GB stick and have 12 GB of RAM obviously.

Ok dude, I've found a couple of modules that look like they'll be the right stuff (but judging only by the picture in terms of the number of chips).
Samsung and Komputerbay

I'm in the UK, so kinda limited to EU orders given import tax and stuff.

Do these look like the right stuff?

Also, you say that they support memory modules with at most 2GB per chip, but these 4GB modules I have here have 4 chips on the side, surely that's 1GB per chip (and even with only 2 chips per side that would be still within the 2GB thing). I'm probably understanding it wrong but doesn't that mean these chips should work?
