Rescue those old golf pencils with this: adjustable angle pencil sharpener. Only about $6. Order now, ships from Japan. I've owned one and it's GREAT. You can adjust it to "golf pencil" angle.
If you like manual pencil sharpeners, this one from Japan is the best. thing. ever.
It's literally the only pencil sharpener I've ever found that lets you choose what angle to sharpen the point to. So you can do anything from a standard 30-degree point (what you find on common US yellow school pencils, and what most sharpeners put on) to the more blunt 45-degree point (used on golf pencils and the like). I use it for the 45-degree point for pencils in the workshop/lab because they are much harder to break.
Not bad for less than $6, shipped.
