>Devcurl Ultra Defining Gel (mini) - I'm still playing with products now that my hair is curly (3A, I think? It just keeps getting curlier as I get older) and haven't tried a gel yet as I still have gel = awful crunch in my head.
I haven't used this particular product from DevaCurl, but I have used a LOT of their other stuff and I think it's all great.
That being said, LA Looks Sport Gel is a great gel for holding curls, and if you apply while your hair is wet and scrunch the curls around after your hair is dry you'll have minimal crunch to deal with. And of course it's waaaaaaay cheaper, which is a big plus for me.
My hair has been pretty short since I was in middle school. In 2015 I stopped shampooing and straightening every day and would put coconut oil in my hair after every wash. Earlier this year I decided to grow it out, and this month I'm realizing that my old methods are no longer working with the length (the ends would look ok but middle and near scalp was poor)
I just ordered some;
They'll arrive on the weekend. I just used the last of my head and shoulders conditioner to practice a cowash and plopped my hair for the first time. My hair is super thick. I have a hard time dealing with itchy scalp and I'm worried that moving away from head and shoulders will make things worse. If anyone had any suggestions, please let me know
It was the LA Looks extreme sport gel. I'm using about a palm-full since my hair is fairly short right now.
The recommend gel in the quick guide is the LA Looks Extreme Sport Gel but in the holy grail product list on the sidebar that gel is colored yellow (a warning product).
Should I be concerned about using said gel? It has parabens in it, which I assume is why it is colored yellow.
