I use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LW54S4U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it is fucking great for coding. I use MaxTo and do a 3 vertical split, sometimes with the third split also split horizontally.

At home I do like you say, I have a 50 inch 4K display, which I sit a bit farther back from obviously (racing sim setup, using the Obutto Revolution), and that also works amazingly for coding.

They are so big that they often get minor damage in shipping and people return them. Highly recommend buying the "use - like new" ones and saving 200-250 depending on your timing.

So these are my two current monitors:

Dell s2716DG (2560x1440) at 144hz

Samsung 38UC99-W (3840x1600 WQHD+)

So they are bit high end. Would you think that the old build would be fine with these monitors for a few more years? After a bit of research I am getting the feeling that the graphics card would be fine, but some other things may need an upgrade.

Well if it's a business purchase then it's understandable. I'm pretty sure you'll be OK for Rocket League and some casual gaming as long as you stick to 1920x1080 resolution, and for the actual work I'm sure you'll find the machine fast enough.

Now... how do I convince my boss to get me this 38" LG ultrawide monitor.... ;)
