$250 budget means you can also go for this one which I read good things about.
$240 Viewsonic
https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-XG2401-24-inch-Response-FreeSync/dp/B01A0ZRR50
$250 LG
https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S
I've also looked at:
$200 AOC https://www.amazon.com/AOC-G2460PF-24-Inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01BV1XBEI
I read that the AOC one has driver issues? Not sure if they're fixed.Install beta drivers for full freesync range.$170 ACER http://www.costco.com/Acer-XF240H-24%22-Full-HD-Monitor-with-AMD-FreeSync.product.100316061.html
This is the best deal I've seen.
[I'll recommend the LG 24GM77 all day] (https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469930558&sr=8-1&keywords=lg+gaming+monitor)
This thing is absolutely fantastic. Build quality is great, screen colors are amazing, and viewing angles are quite good for TN. My only issue with this monitor would be the stand base is quite big, so be aware of space if you have a tight desk.
If you want good colors on a new 144hz (@ 1080p), go for the LG 24GM77. Colors are supposedly excellent on that model, and it doesn't break the bank -- currently $250 on Amazon, or you could get it via Jet for $225 if you haven't used a promo-code there yet (SHOP15).

If you wanted to spend $250, then you should have bought the LG24GM77 https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S/
or the ViewSonic XG2401 https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-XG2401-24-inch-Response-FreeSync/dp/B01A0ZRR50
Yea the asus monitor is pretty old and some people are reporting they get sore eyes for long time of gaming.
Check out this Lg monitor instead but Idk why its this expensive, its supposed to be around $250
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00P0EOX1S/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1493966432&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=lg+144hz+monitor&dpPl=1&dpID=51eCSDqqIbL&ref=plSrch
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P0EOX1S/ this was the only LG monitor at 144hz that I could find. Try taking a look at http://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#m=129 and see if you can find something you like.
Part of the problem? Jeez dude.
Anyway, what's wrong with making everything aesthetically pleasing? I like the LG you linked and I'd love to get one that looks the same, but could be cheaper. If it comes to it I may have to just get two of this one.
(PS: Is this the right 24GM77? I'm like 90% sure, but wanted to check http://www.amazon.ca/24IN-LED-1920X1080-1M-24GM77-B/dp/B00P0EOX1S)
EDIT: Wasn't me who downvoted haha
Fairly belated reply in an obsolete thread, but I imagine you'll get this message.
One, you probably already know that QNIX is basically a junkyard brand that uses panels discarded by better manufacturers for not meeting quality control, but I wanted to mention it on the off chance you didn't.
Two, it's not actually an IPS, but by all accounts I've heard the LG 24GM77 is the closest you'll get to the parameters you stated under $300 new. 1920x1080, 144Hz, and by all accounts actually really good colour for a gaming monitor despite being classified as a TN panel.
If you have an AMD card: ViewSonic XG2401
Otherwise: LG 24GM77
It's this LG 24GM77-B 24-inch monitor. This was a little while ago, so maybe there are better ones now, but I got it on some sale for $240 I believe.
Honestly, my large screen Bravia with relatively low input lag is sufficient for Destiny compared to my 1ms monitor. The real advantage in the monitor was being able to watch the whole screen more easily. I got this guy when it was around $200. Love it. Most people will recommend this BenQ.
The lg is $5 more on amazon.https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1465517842&sr=1-1&keywords=lg+24gm77
The viewsonic is $20 more. https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-XG2401-DisplayPort-FreeSync-Technology/dp/B01A0ZRR50/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1465517938&sr=8-1&keywords=viewsonic+xg2401
Insignificant difference in price if you ask me.
Unless you can get a superb deal on the asus vg248qe there are far better options.
LG Electronics Gaming 24GM77 24-Inch Screen
Hello everybody. I'm adding a RTX 2080, when it comes in, to my current rig. I have a 4770K on a Z97-AR Asus motherboard along with a GTX 1070. I'm looking to change cases to a more spacious mid tower case. I was looking at the Corsair Crystal 570x Series. Can anyone make any suggestions that might be better? Should I start overclocking my 4770k if I can provide proper cooling for it? I previously could not.
I've also got another question. I currently have this monitor https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P0EOX1S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
along with a random 60hz Monitor. I want to know if I purchase an IPS or VA monitor, will that be significantly noticeable compared to the TN monitor I am using? Will the colors look awkward between monitors? etc.

Thanks
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I am going to be playing mostly fps games on it. My budget for monitor is around 300 dollars. The main reason I was going for that lg monitor is that it is the only 144hz monitor available here and I don't want to import one.
Here's the monitor on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00P0EOX1S/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473866614&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=lg+24gm77&dpPl=1&dpID=51eCSDqqIbL&ref=plSrch
https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S
This looks like the monitor they are using, and their GPUs are most likely nvidia 1080 to get consistent 144 hz in all situations.
I have this LG monitor. I think it's better than the Asus and some of the Benq models.
Anyone know what the best low-cost options are for a 1080p 144hz 24 inch or bigger screen?
Looking to upgrade from my old 60hz IPS so that my r390 doesn't go to waste.
Currently leaning towards the LG 24GM77-B, but I'm also considering my options from Acer and Asus.
Any thoughts? Trying to keep the price below $400, but if I can get a big upgrade by going slightly over I'm open to it.
LG Electronics Gaming 144Hz Monitor --> http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S
I was going to get [the LG 24GM77] (https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479818801&sr=8-3&keywords=lg+gaming+monitor) from Amazon but it seems like this Asus is just as good. I don't know squat about monitors, though. Anyone know which one I should get?
The LG is available on Amazon right now for $270. A mere $20 more than the Asus. http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S
I was looking at this lg monitor that had some really good reviews. I currently have two lg 60 hz that are decent. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P0EOX1S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_yD.4ybJ5TA63K
Your store doesn't have alot of options sadly. Can't you order it online instead? Your other option from the store is the Asus VG248QE which also has bad colors and PWM Dimming.
I've heard good stuff about the LG24GM77 too so you should definitely go with that. Here's a link to Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1473875169&sr=8-2&keywords=lg+24gm77
If you're looking for 1080 I'd go with
ViewSonic XG2401 or the 24GM77-B personally.
There's a ton of info on blur busters as well to help choose the best 144hz monitor. LOL sounds like a commercial, but there really is.
LG 24gm77
The LG 24GM77 outperforms the BenQ XL2411Z consistently, but is usually more expensive.
In the CS world, the BenQ is the standard 144hz monitor and is great. But the 24GM77 is better in every area except price (depending on what part of the world you live in).
AOC is notorious for bad color reproduction, but a bit of calibrating it should be decent. Freesync & the lower price tag is probably the only edge.
The BenQ is pretty high end for a 144hz TN. This is the cheaper alternative.
Asus is the mainstream, consumer grade everyone with doubts go to.
You can consider these two as well, they have great reviews and rival the Asus.
LG 24GM77 drops to around $240.
Viewsonic XG2401 is probably a step up from the AOC in terms of color yet delivers freesync & affordable ($240~) on sale.
The more I think about it the more having 2 makes more sense. I'm used to having 2 screens and one of the main reason I was going for 3 is because the desk I bought for the setup seems like it might feel a little empty without that 3rd monitor but you're right I really shouldn't spend money on another one when I probably wont use it. These are the monitors I was originally planning on buying. I'll probably either stick with 2 of them or find something slightly bigger.
Consensus is that the best non- adaptive sync 1080p 144hz TN monitor is the LG 24GM77. Better colors out of the box than the competition, also has a strobing mode. Incidentally on sale at the moment http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S
It depends on how much you want to spend.
$250-$300 = 1080p 144Hz / Get this if you are on a budget https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S
$600-$800 = 1440p 144Hz / If you have the money go for this https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-XB271HU-27-inch-Widescreen/dp/B0173PEX20
$800+ If you're feeling really gangster get this https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-Z35-35-inch-speakers/dp/B01A0FEBXQ
Personally after switching to 144Hz I would never consider getting a 60Hz monitor ever again. It's just so much better.
Check out the one I got. I'm real happy with it. http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S
As someone who's used 60hz monitors for practically the entire time I've used computers, I decided to take the plunge and buy a 144hz monitor:
http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464913086&sr=8-1&keywords=lg+144hz+monitor
I'll save this post and give you an update if I feel a significant improvement. If you don't plan on upgrading your GPU anytime soon I would look for something similar if you want to reach 100+ FPS on your current card.
As for a "headset," IMO you'd be much better off buying a nice pair of headphones for as low as 25$ for some entry-level Sennheisers and a separate microphone, as, from my experience, the mic quality on headsets are usually pretty garbage. Take that with a grain of salt though, as I've never owned any headsets that costed more than ~150$.
I dont know the monitors you posted, but i know this one from a friend ( https://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG248QE-24-inch-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1466380676&sr=1-1&keywords=asus+144hz+monitor ), very good monitor, used in a lot of tournaments, colors are good, thats all i can say for now.
I have this one : https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-24GM77-B-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00P0EOX1S/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1466380719&sr=1-1&keywords=lg+24gm77 the colors are awesome ( a little bit better then the asus one ), very good presets for gaming or multimedia, very good quality, sturdy etc, mine came without a single pixel issue whatsoever.
I hope i could help, even though these monitors are little bit more expensive.
Ps: Another friend got the BenQXL2411Z ( https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-XL2411Z-Monitor-Supported-seamless/dp/B00ITORITU/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1466381020&sr=1-1&keywords=BenQ+XL2411Z ) which is also a very good monitor, according to him the Colorpresets where all terrible, he needed a few hours and programs to adjust it and is very satisfied with the outcome.
Yes!

Awesome screen. :)
Thanks for the help mate. So would you still recommend me the ViewSonic XG2401 over the LG Electronics Gaming 24GM77-B ? Both within the same price change but the View is cheaper by around 30 or so $. I guess you're right that I could always upgrade to an AMD in the future to get the benefits of freesync.
I have three: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P0EOX1S/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
