Got you covered, champ. I just replaced the pleather pads on my set a couple weeks ago. Not because they were wearing out after two years, but because it's a god damn furnace in my apartment and I needed my ears to stop sweating. They aren't the plushiest pads, in fact, they're kinda scratchy. I imagine that will fade over time as they wear in. They do kind of lose some of the isolation, which isn't a problem in my apartment, but it's something to consider.

I've had these for a long time and they're great. I use them practically daily. The only gripe I have is sometimes my microwave interferes and the battery notice isn't that noticeable. I'll echo /u/diamondshark and say they're fine sound wise. The surround isn't a huge selling point, you can tell, but it's not OMGWOW better than a good pair of decently imaged stereo headphones. They aren't going to blow you away with detail on sound but they aren't muddy and crappy either. They're just good. I keep wanting to change my setup to a good pair of open back stereo headphones and a modmic but as good as these are I can't justify the price of replacement. Would recommend.

Hey man I have this headset too, and posted this link last time I saw it posted to buildapcsales.

They are replacement ear pads, made from cloth instead of faux leather material. Took me a bit to get used to them but they're a great replacement set for the headset.
