I am an architecture student, but my mom still have school papers from grade school of me stating that I want to be an architect. My entire family has supported me through this, and it was mostly through Legos (as stated by others) as well as art books. I remember always getting "how to draw" books from relatives, or different markers and paints.

This book may be a little too young of an age group for your son, but Marcella and the Moon was my favorite book of my childhood. It may have little to do with architecture, but has a good life lesson about the profession. It is a story about a duck named Marcella that would paint the moon every night, and came to understand the different phases of the moon. All of her friends would laugh at her because she kept painting the same thing, while they all played and had fun. I guess it showed me to never give up on what you love to do, no matter what you have to sacrifice or what people say.

I am not too familiar with any youtube channels, sorry about that. Now I am only 21, and do not know much about parenting and how difficult it can be. But my parents always allowed me to take things apart and try to rebuild them or do things my own way. I have broken a lot of technology in my home, but R&D costs money, am I right?

Hope this helps!
