Don't get down because of lack of sales. You are doing this when you are 23yr old and not when you are already burdened with life ahead. So, pat yourself in the back for a great start. And, tighten your belts.
My notes/questions:

  1. Have you turned on analytics on your site? For basic look, I couldn't see it enabled.
  2. Do you know if people are adding the product to the cart but are abandoning it?
  3. Where are your visitors coming from? Organic or from referral from other diabetes-related sites? It is possible that people are visiting your site just because it shows up as a result somewhere that is not relevant.
  4. Your website is an initial start but there are some obvious things you should attend to:
  • Site is minimally styled, which is good for customer eyeballs, but for selling products, you need more styling
  • Add some more information/articles/links/sources about diabetes and portal control, cite some experts
  • Have you tried to add some more cross-sell any complementary goods on your websites that can draw in a customer? How about giving people a package of goods for discount?
  • You don't have any pictures of the packaging that the rings come in. That in my opinion is a fatal flaw in marketing since customers don't know what they are going to receive in their hand when they receive your product.
  1. You currently seem to have one product only. Have you tried to kickstart sales by using Amazon/ebay stores? You will be able to leverage the millions of customers who are already looking for diabetes related stuff. For example: http://www.amazon.com/Meal-Measure-Portion-Control-Tool/dp/B004Z0SDXC/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373560993&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=diabetes+portal+control is a portion-control cup and it already has some decent reviews on the product.
    Hope this helps.. I spent my time majoring in marketing in MBA and do website/search engine stuff as a hobby. You seem to have a decent product, but need to sharpen your focus and refine your USP.

I had a best friend on World of Warcraft aka WoW that I played with and did things with daily and we ended up dating long distance for over a year and then he moved out of state to be with me. We had a little girl which turned 3 yesterday. Everything was pretty great except he didn't want to finish his g.e.d when we had a place next to the house to do it. He didn't want to work..or do anything really. He was a great dad and all so we started fighting here and there. Nothing too serious, he wasn't much for fighting or arguing. He would just stay quiet. So, I had a best friend of over 10 years that was married with children and her husband just went to boot camp and she needed a place to stay until he got his first check so she could get a place and I completely trusted her 100% because we had never had one issue at all. Well my daughter was sick and I was having to take her back and forth to the doctor and run errands and my bf would not go with me and they were acting weird in front of me and I had a feeling something was going on so I told her I wanted her out of the house and that I could not handle it and I didn't trust them together. They yelled at me and told me I was crazy and so on only to admit it on my daughter's birthday last year that everything that I thought was right. So I told him to get the hell out and I never said another word to her again. So that's how that one ended up going. :/

Aside from that disaster, I'm now with another friend that I had from WoW. He lived in California and left there to be here with me as well. And everything has been going great. :)
