Jealous. When i visited I didnt see much else of Russia, but made a "day" trip to Helsinki and Stockholm. The year after that I started college and was also inspired to take Russian! I entered college as an International Relations major too but migrated to Transportation/Logistics.
Anyway, take tons of pictures to bring back and share!
Also, if you are looking for a great resource to learn Russian, you should check out this. It served me well for many years, and now im hoping to go back and brush up. Not sure how advance you are in the language but the whole series by Dawson and Humesky were very helpful for me.
I'm also learning Russian. I came across a packet of materials called "Accelerated Learning Techniques" Russian course by Georgetown University, that was supposedly offered by the US State Department during the cold war. Included in it is a fantastic textbook called Modern Russian I. Curious if anyone else is familiar with the textbook, and also the course packet as I have not been able to find more information about the course packet on Google. I have learned foreign languages in the past and I can conclusively say this is the best language self-learning text I have ever used.
