I appreciated having protein shakes. I brought boxes of the premier protein vanilla shakes (but they also have flavors in chocolate, strawberry, banana, peach, and caramel). Protein shakes made a really quick, easy, and also heavy breakfast before my morning classes. They also made a nice evening snack. It's a grab and go kinda drink. It's healthy and fills you up. On days when I only had afternoon classes, i would sometimes sleep in and have a protein shake and fruit in place of lunch.

I also appreciated having a microwave and fridge. My roommate brought them for us to share. Fridge allowed me to chill my protein shakes and even store yogurt and cheese. I LOVE popcorn and the microwave allowed me to pop it. After coming back to campus after breaks, I would always come with food from home (I'm Indian so I usually got flatbread - roti if you know what that is - stuffed with vegetables and herbs and spices). The microwave allowed me to enjoy the home cooked roti hot.

I also appreciated having wireless headphones. I know beats and airpods can be hella expensive, but I got the MPOW heasset. They're 35 bucks on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Headphones-Wireless-Memory-Protein/dp/B01NAJGGA2/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=MPOW+headphones&qid=1563442865&s=gateway&sr=8-3. I didn't have to worry about wires or tiny buds falling out of my ears with this bad boy. Sound quality is great and it can connect to two devices at the same time. It's also super portable and can activate Siri/Cortana/Google Voice with the press or a button. Just don't wear it during class because they're huge and it might be disrespectful.

One final thing I appreciated was a powerbank. if I wasn't near an outlet but needed to juice up my phone, the powerbank saved my ass. I actually didn't bring the powerbank from home but got it for free from the IR career fair. Definitely check out the company Vertiv as they give out free powerbanks in their booth during career fairs. (I got another keychain powerbank from another company but lost it :p)

None of these things are absolutely necessary but were nice to have

It’s cool to listen to music in nature, but it’s not cool for other people who want to listen to things like birds chirping or the breeze blowing. Above I linked to a bunch of Bluetooth headphones and earbuds if having a cord is the issue.
Yes, I am only posting this because you were posted on SubredditDrama and I want karma.

I honestly cannot recommend these enough for the price. My workouts usually last around an hour, and I'll lift everyday for a week or two before they need charging. They're not beats but they get the job done for me.

These are the pair I use. https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Headphones-Wireless-Memory-Protein/dp/B01NAJGGA2

Great quality for the price and comfortable. I have no complaints about them.

For clarification, your tv needs to have bluetooth as well.

u/matthigast · 3 pointsr/gadgets

I bought these 2 years ago and they still work fantastic, wireless and wired (controls don't work when wired though), they're only ~$35 so it's budgetfriendly too

u/InTheScannerDarkly · 3 pointsr/weightroom

I like the MPOW bluetooth headphones from Amazon. The only issue is how much sweat the pads absorb. I wiped mine down after each workout and still after a few months, they reeked. No method to eliminate the smell worked. Other than that, they're great.

Budget - $35 - $45 range (I know that what I'd get for this price is really bad by this subreddit's standards, but I don't exactly have a lot of money)

Source - Primarily a Sandisk Clip Sport, though I'd like to upgrade to a Moto G Plus 5th gen, and sometimes my PC

Requirements for Isolation - Passive Noise Isolating at least, though if you could find something with ANC and all the other things I want at this price, I'd be open to it

Will you be using these Headphones in Public - yes, school

Preferred Type of Headphone - Over-the-ear, wireless but with a connector for an external 3.5mm jack, foldable

Preferred tonal balance - balanced

Past headphones - Cheap ($30) mic/headphone combo headsets (I got those for the mics, and I now know that was a mistake) and cheaper ($5-$15) earbuds (the earbuds were better)

Preferred Music - Mostly Punk, Grunge, and Progressive rock, though I also listen to some synthpop and one of my favorite albums is folk

What I'd like to improve - Durability mostly; I've gone through four pairs of earbuds in under 12 months and every time it was the cord (which wouldn't be a problem if I could replace it) except for the last one (one of the buds tore off, which wouldn't happen if they weren't earbuds)

Been looking at the Mpow 059s and the PowerLocus Wireless Bluetooth Over-Ear Stereo Foldable Headphones

I picked up these recently off of Amazon. Sound quality is pretty good. They're no Bose or Beats headphones, but they do the job. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAJGGA2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hiya!

  • Budget - 50 $
  • Source - Desktop
  • Isolation - Some - a lot

  • I will not be using them in public.

  • Preferred type - over ear or on ear. (something that I can wear for hours without ear pain since I work from home)

  • Preferred tonal balance - no preference
  • Past headphones - Standard ps4 headphones (that blue one)
  • Preferred Music - LOFI hip hop, hardcore
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - Looking for something that I can wear for hours without ear pain, and give that studio quality sound.

I hope you guys can help me find the best headphones for $50 and under, I've been recently looking at MPOW 059 not sure if it's something I should get or if there is something better that will give me better sound for the price.
u/tomkatt · 2 pointsr/EmulationOnAndroid

No wired ones. The main "telescopic" controllers are gonna be the Ipega PG-9023, the BTC-938, and the recently released Ipega PG-9083. All are wireless (bluetooth), and only charge over USB.

The deadzones are pretty poor on most Android controllers, though the BTC-938 is slightly better than the Ipega alternatives. As for the input lag, I'd suggest completely forgetting the device in bluetooth settings, then re-pairing it again. If that still doesn't help, see if turning off wifi makes things any better.

It could be any number of things. Currently I'm able to use the BTC-938 with a pair of wireless bluetooth headphones and I have no noticeable input lag. However with past bluetooth headphones I'd get lag that way, so I guess it varies and it's all luck of the draw.

Basically i want this but with open back so I can still hear my surroundings/my own voice.

Does such a thing exist (and for under $100) ?

u/ADefiniteDescription · 1 pointr/nfl

I bought these over a year ago and use them almost every day. They're pretty good for the price.

u/CTSVERROR · 1 pointr/running

I've yet to find a set of ear buds that stayed in place while running and didn't hurt my ears after 20 minutes. I finally went with over the ears headphones. These things are amazing for the price Mpow 059 Bluetooth Headphones

u/masterofreason · 1 pointr/nfl

I use these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAJGGA2

They aren't the most stylish, but they get the job done. One thing I really like about them is that they are both wired and wireless. They use a cord with a 3.5 mm jack on both sides. So they work with any device (no bluetooth) or you can still use them in case you forget to charge them.

these are what i have

great battery life, decent sound, comfortable.

the only weird thing is that the volume controls on the side are separate than the ones on your phone.

u/grendel_loki · 1 pointr/LosAngeles

heh... I saw your post on these a few days ago! I want them pretty badly! But I don't want complete sensory deprivation.... I figure it'd be easier to be taken advantage of if one sense is completely blocked off.... I have these cheap bad boys.... they go to the gym with me in the morning too. https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Headphones-Wireless-Memory-Protein/dp/B01NAJGGA2

Thanks man, mine is somewhat like this but not the exact brand..i forgot the brand name so..guess i will be using that for 2001.

u/GirlLunarExplorer · 1 pointr/beyondthebump

I got these: https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Headphones-Wireless-Memory-Protein/dp/B01NAJGGA2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1522732571&sr=8-3&keywords=headphones

They're not noise canceling but noise dampening. I used to wear these for every one of my son's naps while I watched TV on my laptop.

u/helppleasewithstats · 1 pointr/headphones

What do you guys think about this product?

My budget is quite low, so would wanna have something that is cheap yet good. I would love to get something <$100 and the max i can go is $150. The cheaper the better.
