Hey just my two cents,

I play both, if I am buying a new game, I'll see what console my friends are going to play on, or what port I prefer to play. I used to play dark souls 3 on PS4, but switched to PC just for the frame rate jump alone. I used to play Dead by Daylight on PC, but switched to console just because the community on PC was toxic. Both systems have their merits and it really doesn't matter what system you wanna play.

If you want to find some friends on PC, you can hop around on reddit for a particular game you like to play and see if that subreddit has a discord channel. Its a great place to meet people and do some multiplayer with, and maybe even become friends and play other games with.

I purchased this monitor recently on sale on Newegg and used some points to shave some of the cost off but it has been a great monitor and had the specs I wanted

1440p
144hz
32in. curved screen
VESA mount

I have been playing consoles since NES/Sega Master System and PC's since Doom/Quake/Diablo 1. I am still terrible at FPS's. =(

I just got home, my monitor is the Optix AG32C 32" curved screen MSI monitor (here is a link to it on Amazon, though it is a bit pricy, not to say it isn't a great monitor, but you can achieve the same effect for more than half the cost in some instances if you are willing to lose out on other features and size)

If you are going for that much might as well go nuts.
