If you want to buy an 2060 and don't want to suport this disgrace of mir, consider those used cards from amazon warehouse. They are already cheap and you get 20% discount on checkout.

Could find only those 2 cards left with discout. MSI and Zotac.

That seems to be the case, think you could tell me if this is a good choice?

This might seem like a really dumb question but I want to know I’m deciding over two 2060 cards currently and I want to know which card offers the best cooling. And also which would would last longest.

Card 1; GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2060 Gaming OC Pro 6G Graphics Card, 3X Windforce Fans, 6GB 192-bit GDDR6, GV-N2060GAMINGOC PRO-6GD Video Card

Primary components were:

  • i7-9700K Cpu - Had to buy CPU cooler separately, went with a liquid cooler.
  • RTX 2060
  • Some MSI mobo

For a while I actually had bad airflow in my case, and it still ran most games at 120 FPS. Once I started playing APEX and MW more, I had some frame drops due to thermal throttling. I realized I had poor airflow in my case, and ended up fixing it.

Now it works like a charm. Love this setup.

More specifically, the Ryzen 5 3600X and RTX 2060 6GB would work well if you're going for a mid-ranged build (AMD route).

I watched some comparison videos, and I'm now torn between the Vega 64 and RTX 2060, but seeing as the RTX is a smidge cheaper, I might go this route- this is the cheapest one I could find:

I got an RTX 2060 and have loved it. I don't know how loud it is because my CPU cooler is louder than everything in my pc right know lol.

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone experienced constant game crashes on their machine? Any sort of game that I play, at a certain point, whether it be 5 mins of playing or 1 hour of play, the game would freeze or crash. For example, I was playing Destiny 2 on my machine and after playing for about 30 mins, the game would crash with an error saying that my GPU crashed. The error code was Broccoli. I looked this error code up and the suggestions were to update my driver which was already done with the latest one.

On other games, like CS GO, Witcher 3, Civilization 6 (this was a shocker) and League of Legends (also shocker) the screen would freeze but the sound would still be playing. I can hear the game progressing but the application is frozen. the only way to get out of this is to bring up the task manager and kill the game which is not what i want to do in a intense situation in a MMO type of game...

Below are my specs:

Graphics Card: MSI RTX2060 6GB OC https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MC23VS4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B428M7F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have read numerous articles on why the screen freezes and the sound keeps on playing and I have tried their recommendations. None have worked. I have replaced the Graphics card twice through amazon because the Driver test failed on me. The one that I have now didn't fail so I kept it. Below are the things that I have tried:

  1. Uninstalled my current graphics driver with DDU and installed the latest version
  2. Running the driver with debug mode through Nvida control panel.
  3. Have not Overclocked. Everything is running out of the box configuration
  4. Changed the fan speed of the graphics card to 70% through Afterburner
  5. Changed the setting of the Nvidia driver to have the same configuration as this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5otUOXHOEt8
  6. Windows power management is on Maximum performance. with my PCI to never sleep and CPU to be on 100%
  7. I have installed my windows twice and still same result. The second time I installed it, I havent even installed any ASUS software except the wifi driver, sound driver and socket driver. Bare minimum stuff.

I had this build for about 3 months now and I cant even return it even if i wanted to. I am really lost here. This is really shocking to me. 3 months is basically nothing for the amount that I have invested on this machine and all the things that I expect to run on it are crashing, absolutely unplayable. This is unacceptable on all spectrum. I shouldn't have to worry about my game crashing or freezing every time.

Am I alone here? Anyone have this issue?

I was gonna go 4k 60Hz but everyone tells me I'm an idiot. So here I am buying this shit. Sorry 4k - you're going back home to the Amazon warehouse.

Problem is I was gonna get the 5700 XT Nitro but now I gotta go Nvidia huh? Probably a 2060 Super. Opinions?

Edit: Went with this. Hope it's good

I grabbed one of these (up from a GTX9500): https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-RTX-2060-VENTUS/dp/B07MC23VS4

Seems like it's a nice bang/buck, comes with DDR6 and Turing.

Managed to get mine on sale ~80bucks off; look around.

Also, the best single thing you can do to improve performance nowadays (SSD's seem standard) is to max out RAM on the MOBO and disable the paging file. Assuming your RAM-space is large enough not to fall over, Windows will never need to cache to disk.

Get the one that says Used - Very Good from Amazon Warehouse. It says $316.56 but there will be a 20% discount applied at checkout.

MSI Ventus XS OC. I got the non-XS version, which is $10 more and after looking at comparisons, I'm not seeing a reason not to go for the XS version. *The XS is a tiny bit smaller.

u/nbockisch · 1 pointr/buildapc

The width of the case is about 8 inches. I found this which seems to have a better cooling situation. The width seems to be about 5 inches so I think there's enough clearance? Unless there would be an issue with the placement of the card in the case, I'm pretty new at this sorry lol.

u/Najanator717 · 1 pointr/buildapc

The 1660 Ti's about 10 FPS faster for the same price (sometimes less) than a 1660. Or if you can spend another ~$60 you can go for a 2060 and get another ~15 FPS.

u/FallingAnvils · 1 pointr/buildapc

You could get an rtx 2060 such as this one or an rx 5700 such as this one. They both trade blows, but the 5700 has 8gb of vram, and the 2060s at that price have non-blower coolers and slightly lower power consumption.
