Hello, I am recent college grad (CS degree) and I'm currently teaching english in the Czech Republic. I have lots of free time so I'm interested in getting into game development and I want to start with Unreal Engine 4. I need to get a new computer though. I can't get a desktop right now so I want to get a laptop.

Do you think this computer could handle the workload? If not, what spec is not up to standard?

I have the MSI Apache and I'll try to search how to take apart a laptop and all that tomorrow if I can't find a fix.

> I have also found this which is even cheaper and seems to have pretty much the same specs? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0185P47QY/

Price seems fishy IMO, if you click on the other seller listing, it shows :

> To or..der ple..ase wri.te he.re: :tech"@"procut4,Com,Free delivery!

This looks like a scam... I wouldn't want to risk it.

That said, if you can afford £800 laptop, I would get this laptop I'm using right now : http://www.ebuyer.com/749014-msi-gl62-6qf-apache-pro-gaming-laptop-9s7-16j562-1089

I got the recommendation from here as well, from /u/clumsywords on my thread here

I've recommended this laptop for some people here. Note that I don't represent Ebuyer or MSI, I just want people to get the best specs for their money :D.

Here's my other suggestion on other thread :

I was looking at that, but it has short battery life and it's not IPS. Also build quality seems questionable from reading user reviews. The one I saw was this. A little different, but I think the stuff I mentioned still applies.

hmm, What about this ? SSD, under budget, under 5 lb, quad core i7, 960M GPU

The MSI Computer G Series GE62 Apache Pro-014 15.6" Laptop would be a brilliant choice for you. Very powerful with a great processor, nice graphics card, great memory, storage, battery life and importantly; cooling. This laptop also weighs only 5.3 pounds which makes it excellent for you traveling around college.

2. ASUS ROG GL553VE-DS74
3. ASUS ZenBook UX303UB
4. MSI VR Ready GE62VR Apache Pro-026 (battery life concern)
